In the Calendar dropdown of the New Event dialog there is no indication to show if a calendar is hidden or not. This results in unexpected behavior.

At the moment if an event is added to a hidden calendar the calendar is unhidden automatically. Another user has filed this as Bug 405480 , although according to a comment this behavior was a "fix" to solve the case where a user adds an event and it doesn't show up (because it was added to a hidden calendar). If the calendar was shown as hidden (strikethrough? warning icon?) in the New Event dialog the user would be clued that the calendar is hidden, and therefore different behavior would not be unexpected.
