When I run speedtests in Firefox I get ~14.7/2.3. It is always 2.3 upload. In IE I get ~14.7/~13.8. The upload file is too small to let it get up to full bandwidth. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try running a speedtest from speakeasy.et or speedtest.net in Firefox and IE on a machine with over 2.3 Mbps upload. 2. 3. Actual Results: You only get 2.3Mbps upload through anything in Firefox. Expected Results: Give somewhere around 14Mbps upload Side by side screenshot can be found here: http://www.ferruminfusco.com/Speedtest%20FF%20IE.jpg

Speedtest in Firefox under XP on another machine.
Speedtest in Internet Explorer under XP on another machine.
Reproduced on another machine using Windows XP Pro 32. Uploaded pictures of FF and IE results.
It would be interesting to know if this still happens with nightly Firefox 3 builds...
Anyone else with high upload able to confirm on another network? I was wonderring about FF3 as well.
I tried Firefox 3 Beta and it was better but seems to limited to around 5Mbps. Here is a side by side of FF3b1 and IE7. http://www.ferruminfusco.com/Speedtest%20FF3%20IE7.jpg

How are you doing this upload, exactly? What protocol is it using?
It is just HTTP bandwidth test from speedtest.net. It doesn't matter whos spoeed test I use though. They all turn out low in Firefox and fine in IE.
