Possibly the same issue as bug 404112. Andrey, do you see any error messages if you start Firefox in a console window? Which version of libpango are you using?

(In reply to comment #4) > On start - there no any error messages in a console. ok, what I really meant was: are there any error messages when loading the URL before it crashes?
Whiteboard: CLOSEME 2007-12-12
(gecko:409): Pango-WARNING **: shape engine failure, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'DejaVu Serif Bold Oblique Not-Rotated 0' /root/DL/firefox/crashreporter: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Andrey, I think this is the same issue as in bug 404112. I have put up test a build with the patch in that bug for testing: https://build.mozilla.org/tryserver-builds/2007-12-04_08:36-mpalmgren@mozilla.com-1196786133/ I can't reproduce the crash myself so I would really appreciate if you could try that build and see if it makes the crash go away. Thanks.
This Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b2pre) Gecko/2007120409 opens the site http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/ w/o problems and Pango-warnings. Thank you!

That was just a preliminary test build so it's not fixed yet, but it proves that it's the same issue as bug 404112 and that the workaround there is effective. Thank you so much for your help!
