User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11
In the preference pane, I set the down load directory to something other than the Desktop, but that directory is not used. I have tried different directories, but no matter what, downloads end up on the Desktop. Specifically, I'm downloading a PDF file to test out.
I have tried restarting Firefox after setting the download directory and upgraded to the latest version on firefox.com, but no change.
My operating system is Mac OS X 10.5.1. I have specifically tried to set the download directory to the Downloads folder (new to Leopard) and to the Documents folder.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://www.irs.gov/publications/index.html
2. click on "PDF" under publication 1
3. PDF downloads to Desktop and opens.
Actual Results:
PDF "P1.PDF" downloads to desktop.
Expected Results:
It should have downloaded to "/usr/.../Documents"
