http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer/italicbug-ie.html The first "lorem ipsum" is broken into 2 lines on Mac, even though it shouldn't. Reduced testcase in URL. (Tested in Firefox 3 Beta 1.)
fwiw, it is equally broken on two lines in the latest WebKit nightly, Safari 3, Opera 9.5b, IE5.23 and iCab3.03. (all running on 10.4.11).
Looks like it's a bug in Apple's version of the Times font then.
