I've reverted a DNS change I made lastnight though I'm not sure how that would impact this (ip change, backend servers are the same).

For what it's worth, the problem is intermittent.  It'll say 'unable to establish connection to server' on some attempts, and on others it will work just fine.

To reproduce, install 2.0.0.11 and use the add-ons manager to click 'get themes' or 'get extensions' on the bottom right.  Seems to be back to normal after reverting.

We'd be willing to help test the DNS changes at some point if you want to re-try.  Maybe tonight?

this is fixed after reverting.  reed tested last night, but we'll push through QA next time.  my bad :(

You can hork you hosts file and test against 63.245.209.16.

The change was in bug 399148.  The testing didn't catch that 209.16 only answers for https .
