Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 I am trying to access a web application which stores userlogin-id as one of its session varibles(on server side) When I try to use tabbed browsing or even tried opening in different window altogether and open the same page with some different userid the webpage now overwrites the session variable for earlier session. I believe two different windows / tabs should open two independent sessions with the server. I tried with IE and it works fine as expected. FYI the server is on my local machine. But if required I can get you the details of the server bhupigs@gmail.com Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a web application which stores some information entered by user as its session varible on apache 2.now open another firefox window / another tab and try to store a different value into the session variable through the new window/tab Actual Results: You will notice that now session variables for both the windows is the one you entered latest Expected Results: Window 1 should have shown its value and window 2 should have shown its value Both the session variables should be independent... as in server should be able to identify that they are coming from different browser windows/tabs
