Description

Since the new mozilla international store is launched, we are going to promote it before christmas on all of our locale start pages adding a new localized snippet.

I have put all of your previous translated snippets for our languages on my personal site, but this is a temporary measure until we put them on SVN where you will all have access (see bug #407371) and where you will be able to update them more easily than in the past.

Here are the snippets:

Please update your locale by putting the localized string below the line :

Do not forget to save your file as UTF8 and attach your translation to this bug. As soon as we have the SVN repository ready to host them, I will warn you in this bug.

Considering how many bugs have been filed about the international store lately, I don't think this is such a good idea right now. I think you all should wait until all the main issues have been fixed with the store before announcing it more widely.

Reed, the marketing team are the ones to decide on this.  We will need the strings anyway when technical issues are resolved on the new store, there is zero reason not to start localizing the snippets as soon as we can to publish them when we see fit.

Ok, I agree with that. I just think we should wait until all the main problems with the store have been resolved before we push these snippets live. :)

sure, this bug is about collecting the strings, not pushing them live, I myself wish the store will be improved by the time we decide to generate the real snippets and put them online.

Although you currently have to order from the Int'l store based in the UK, we are working on ways to add a store presence in Asia, so it would be great to have this.

I'd like to add the snippet for Japanese as soon as the Asia store presence is available.  Without it, the store is prohibitively expensive for customers from Asia.  We prefer not to showcase what is a prohibitively expensive store for customers from Japan until we have a store that is more reasonable.
