Can you make FF more like IE so that the loading of applets / starting of the Java Virtual Machine does not slow the rest of the page from loading.
In IE, if I go to the url it takes one second to show the page, then 9 seconds later I see the applet.
In FF, I don't see anything for 10 seconds!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.foodwise.org.uk/index.htm (or any page containing an applet)
2. Wait for the JVM to start / applet to load
3. Repeat with IE (6 or 7) - and notice the improvement!
Actual Results:
slowness
Expected Results:
Speed comparable (or exceeding) IE.
Hope you can sort this out as it's a major pain for any web developer that uses applets.
