This Wednesday (tentative) we'll want to switch over the old and new Spread Firefox sites. The old site, currently located at http://www.spreadfirefox.com/ will need to be renamed to http://archive-spreadfirefox.com/ and the new site, currently located at http://newsfx.spreadfirefox.com/ will need to be renamed to http://spreadfirefox.com/ At that point, I'll disable most "writing" at the the old sfx so that it becomes a read-only archive.
Can we do the following now please : 1. Push the file update.php to SFX2 production as the following $access_check = FALSE; needs to be changed to $access_check = TRUE; otherwise anyone can run update.php 2.Modify the privileges on cron.php on SFx2 production so that it can be executed only be apache and not by the world as presently this page is executable by anyone from a browser. 3.When the above (1) is done can we have cron.php called once a day. Thanks Paul
OK. We're very, very close here and I'd like for us to do the transition this wednesday, December 19th. The transition is this bug and bug 407770
We need the old site to be available at archive-spreadfirefox.com and that URL doesn't resolve.

http://archive-spreadfirefox.com or http://archive.spreadfirefox.com ? If "archive-spreadfirefox.com", that domain will need to be purchased and set up for this purpose, as it is currently not registered.
all set here. http://archive-sfx.spreadfirefox.com is the archive URL.

I don't know anything about domains. I just needed a URL for the old site. I think what we have now works just fine.
