User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071108 SeaMonkey/1.1.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071108 SeaMonkey/1.1.6

When a message contains a "To:" list of 70-80 receipients where each string may be 50 or more characters long, the message window at first displays the plus box that indicates the partial "to" list. Clicking on the plus box expands to the full "to" list. However, the long lists overflow the window and cannot be viewed because there is no scroll bar to make hidden portions visible. If you click on another message and then come back to the original message, the plus box disappears and the hidden portions cannot be displayed at all. Clicking to a different mail folder and back to the original folder will make the plus box reappear.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on a message with a 70-80 member TO list.
2.Click on the plus box to expand the TO list.
3.Click on another message in the same folder (it has a long TO list too)
4.The plus box disappears.
5.Click back to the original message. The plus box disappears here too.
6.Click to another folder and then click back to the original folder
7.The plus box reappears on the message with the long TO list.
Actual Results:
Described in steps to reproduce above.

Expected Results:
The plus box on large TO lists should always appear.

When the large TO list is expanded by clicking on the plus box, there may need to be a scroll bar included to make all members of the TO list visible.
2 issues then:
a) displaying a too long list.
b) twisty disappearing.

Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v1.1.9 ?
If yes, please attach an email example, so someone can try and reproduce.
Version: unspecified → SeaMonkey 1.1 Branch
Yes - two issues.

It is still a problem in seamonkey 1.1.7. I do not have seamonkey 1.1.9 because the contributed builds for Solaris stopped becoming available with 1.1.7. Sorry, I have no example that I can provide. The examples I have are company private both in content and address recipients.

 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.8.1.15) Gecko/20080710
 SeaMonkey/1.1.10
 It works well for me.
I now have seamonkey 1.1.10 for Solaris 10, and it does not work for me. The expanded To list cannot display long lists. Stretching the window long vertically will show more of the long list, but not all of it for very long lists. There still needs to be a scroll bar for this case. The + thingy still goes away for me as I have described above.
The attached message file is an example of a long 'to' list that can demonstrate the problem. You should put it in a separate folder a couple of times, an then play with expanding the 'to' list a number of times and going between it and other messages and other folders and back.

 SeaMonkey/1.1.10
I can reproduce it with the case provided by Comment #5 .
