Hi there... I'm using Mozilla 5.0.16.2000052921. I tested the 8-bit transparency channel in PNG-image. Maybe Corel saves the transparency in a wrong way - the transparency-channel should be 8-bit but image itself is 24-bit - maybe Corel can't handle this difference. (I supposed that the transparent areas for PNG work like those for GIF - what is selected in Corel is transparent in browser.) Can You make the alpha-blended images go work ? Good luck

I believe this should go to pnunn -- Pam, if I'm wrong, please reassign as appropriate.

Michal: I'm not sure what your question is. If you are having a problem with png alpha channels, could you attach a test image? or give me an url that has test images? thanks, pn

Michal apparently e-mailed images to Pam, rather than attaching the files here, so nobody saw the images or knew they were being sent. I'm re-opening the bug.

Verifying as duplicate. I'll be sure to check this test case when verifying 36694, of course.

Your desired output doesn't match the PNG used in the testcase, but seems to be produced from a PNG with an inverted alpha channel. The output of running mozilla on X11 with the test is attached. This also matches what gimp thinks the alpha composite of that PNG should be.
