User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071128 SeaMonkey/1.1.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071128 SeaMonkey/1.1.7 Password prompt (a window appears prompting which password I should use -I have two accounts, which one has to respond to)every time one opens a window in one's Youtube account. I tried the same thing with IE and the problem doesn't happen. If I deleted the passwords on SeaMonkey, which were related to Youtube, I suspect the problem would stop. There is no problem using any other password guarded website. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. One is not prompted for one's password usually on You tube. Especially if Sea Monkey has it saved.
Version: unspecified → SeaMonkey 1.1 Branch
<http://fr.youtube.com/profile?user=sightvisit> loads (only) <http://fr.youtube.com/index?&session=...> *** Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v1.1.9 ? (Give more details, maybe a screenshot.)
Best I can figure ... If you have no YouTube passwords saved, no problems. If you have one YouTube password saved, no problems - whether logged in or not. If you have more then one YouTube password saved, & have logged in, no problems. If you have more then one YouTube password saved, & have not logged in, then you are prompted at least once on every YouTube page you visit. This may have changed, as from what I recall, you used to be prompted when you have more then one YouTube password saved, even if you were logged in. I've (today) looked at SeaMonkey 1.1.10 down through 1.1.6 & I'm seeing the above behaviors. Again, I believe it to be different from what I recall in earlier times - making me think that YouTube has made some changes to their website too. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=3162396 http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=621409 (Note, to see the popups, you can simply save bogus un/pw combos. To see that once logged in you no longer get the password prompt, you need to have at least on legit saved un/pw. Also note that YouTube saves login across sessions via cookie, so if you restart SeaMonkey, you may also have to manually Log Out.) I originally though this was the same as Bug 414047 but they may be different. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.15pre) Gecko/20080510 SeaMonkey/1.1.10pre Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.15pre) Gecko/20080510 SeaMonkey/1.1.10pre
This same behavior exists on the Trunk too. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008051102 SeaMonkey/2.0a1pre
