User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 After navigating for some time, firefox gets collapsed and i have to kill it. I use blackbox window manager (it maybe minds), so i right click the firefox main window and kill it... When i do that, the firefox main window closes but a lot of small popup windows appear, sometimes they're blank, sometimes (when firefox is not collapsed) they're containing ads. I have to kill one of those again to get firefox just closed at all. I think it has something to do with the antipopup feature althought i see nothing at all related to it appearing on my screen... i also think it's related with firefox having two processes opened on my computer, since i kill one of them and the other one seems to be owning all those small windows. Again, i have noticed that firefox is collapsed when a lot of those small popup windows appear, so they may be the cause of the collapsings. After the collapsing, all the cookies, password remember, etc. are gone. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a lot of tabs at http://www.20minutos.es/ 2. Refresh them some times (the more the better). 3. Kill firefox main window (maybe you should try using the blackbox 0.65.0 window manager, or just xkill worked for me, but i'm still on blackbox). Actual Results: 4a. If firefox was collapsed, which seems to take a bit of time after opening the tabs, the white windows will appear and get stuck. All the cookies and so will be gone. 4b. If firefox was not collapsed, the white windows will appear shortly and then disappear. The more you refreshed, the more white windows will appear. Expected Results: Not collapsing would be ok :P Not losing the cookies and password remember and sessions would be ok too :P Also, i think firefox is allocating some memory for all those windows and ads and there's no way of freeing it until killing them. Maybe there's even a memory leak there that's causing the collapsing itself. I have Shockwave Flash 9.0 r48 installed on firefox, if it minds. And again, i'm using the desktop manager blackbox, which may be managing the windows in a different way.
I'm confused. Does the proliferation of windows only happen if you "right click the firefox main window and kill it"? Why are you doing that? This sounds a lot like bug 263160.
