410336 - FF will not allow pogo games after using safe mode

After I was checking out the "safe mode" feature, FF stopped allowing pogo games. 

The Java box and ad will appear, but instead of a game, it shows the home page again in the box. This is for most of the games, although checkers seems to work.

The weird part is that FireFoxPortable (and IE)work fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on start game button
2.Java box appears 
3.Ads appear 
Actual Results:  
After ads finish, the home page appears in box instead of game.

Expected Results:  
Game should appear

Java is working correctly with FireFoxPortable and IE.

Clearing cache and history did not help, even tried to delete all temporary files manually. Also cleared Java cache.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled FF, and have upgraded to latest Java.

I also noticed that FF would allow me to play some games as a guest, when not logged in as a Pogo user.

Turns out that while in safe mode, an exception was made to prevent FF from accepting cookies from the pogo game site. I had "allow cookies" checked, did I hit an unknown hotkey to do this? 

Interesting to know that this info was kept even after uninstall and deletion of the original folder. Bad registry cleanup?

This bug was originally reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.6 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.8 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
