User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008010104 Minefield/3.0b3pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008010104 Minefield/3.0b3pre In the library window you can sort rows of data by clicking on column headers. This triggers display of triangular icons. They are displayed in the direction that's opposite to the current sorting order. Reproducible: Always
Changing the component to Places. That's what I think the window belongs to in spite of being called Library.
Component: Bookmarks → Places
Looks correct to me. A > Z sort order icon points downwards and Z > A order icon points upwards.
Ria, perhaps, it's a matter of cultural difference. In America, the top of a triangular icon indicates a smaller value and the bottom -- a larger value. 'A' is smaller than 'Z', and an earlier date is smaller than a later one. So, when strings are sorted in direct alphabetical order (from a to z from the top down), the icon should be pointing up. This is how other applications (Windows Explorer and Altap Salamander being some of them) operate.
QA Contact: bookmarks → places
Firefox has always done it this way. However, confirming to get some dev opinions.
