Link to the article about updating rather than having instructions to update. Help -> Check for Updates doesn't work on all systems.

Try to not be so technical when explaining the problem, and don't link to the bug report. (It would be good to keep it as a comment though).

I would prefer that the extension be hosted on AMO rather than some random third party site. I wonder if we could get the author to upload it there.

I checked with cilias and he said go ahead and list it, I did check AMO.  I can contact the author and check.

On the bug report, what do you mean mention and not link or just delete it al together?

There's an option to include it as a comment viewable in the source but not viewable in the normal view. This is useful to tell future editors more information that you don't need to tell end users.

Is there a reason why 'update firefox' is among the recommendations in this article? I know that it is always good to make sure you are running the latest version; but is there anything specific about this issue?
