I get the following error while changing folders in "news"

Is this reproduceable? In terms of news, this means that GetNewMessages is
failing. We should probably handle the exception however.

neel - when you get this error, does your thread pane not display the 
messages/headers for the newly selected newsgroup?

just in case the answer is yes, cc'ing asa since he mentioned to me he saw this 
before.

No, It is still not working for me. Now I get the following errors with 6/5
