Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121120 Firefox/3.0b2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121120 Firefox/3.0b2
When trying to save a proxy username with a domain name, i.e. containing a backslash, Firefox strips the domain from the user name (up to the backslash)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a proxy username containing a backslash in it (xxx\yyy)
2. Log on the proxy
3. Ask Firefox to save the password
Actual Results:
Only the last part, from the backslash, is saved (yyy)
Expected Results:
It should save the full username, xxx\yyy
I haven't tested whether web forms' passwords are impacted too
The bug is present in latest trunk version, 17 jan 2008.
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: PC → All
Version: unspecified → Trunk
I have just tested, bug is only present with proxy passwords, i.e. starting with "moz-proxy:" in the password manager.
