POST pages shouldn't show up in autocomplete results... arguably they ought not be in global history at all. I'm having pages like post_bug.cgi show up at the top of autocomplete results. This is not very usable because if I were to click on that entry it does a GET on the URL, which wouldn't show me the same page as is stored in history. I think that we should either filter out POST history entries from the urlbar autocomplete or we should never add POST entries to global history in the first place.

It's taken rather a lot of morphing to turn into such a strange thing, but this is really a dupe of a five digit Fx:Places bug filed by Neil - bug 94514.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
