Not a security bug, for help links, see http://www.mozilla.org/support/ If you could get a talkback ID, that could be helpful to find out what the cause is of your crash: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback
Group: security
Component: Error Console → General
QA Contact: error.console → general
talkback will help pinpoint the problem, and the support folks can take that talkback number and figure out where the crash is. If you're crashing 50 times a day, though, you might have spyware installed or a very old version of a plugin like Flash. You can check your plugin versions by typing about:plugins into the address bar, and then check with each vendor to see if an update is available. The following mozillazine article has links to information about some popular plugins and where to get updates: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_crashes The upcoming Firefox 3 will include a feature to help keep plugins more up to date which should help with the crashing. If it started happening all of a sudden, though, I would suspect unwanted spyware/adware. Also, search your system for the following known, crashy adware files: nsBrowserOpt.dll oFox.dll oFoxB.dll Not all anti-virus programs detect these but they are causing lots of crashes for people. If you find them delete them if you can. They can sometimes come back, though, if your system is still infected.
