Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008012404 Minefield/3.0b3pre - Build ID: 2008012404 Steps to reproduce: (New profile) 1. Open the sidebar. 2. Open the Bookmarks Toolbar and the Bookmarks Menu folder. 3. Drag the "Mozilla Firefox" folder from the Bookmarks Menu folder between two items of the Bookmarks toolbar folder. Actual result: - The folder disappears. - This also happens with bookmarks. - You can also try to drag and drop from the toolbar folder to the menu. - Creating something "New ..." from the sidebar's context menu does not work. - Dragging a link from a page to the sidebar does not work. But: If you drag a link from a web page into the Mozilla Firefox folder in the Bookmarks Menu or a bookmark from the Bookmarks Toolbar into this folder, it will work.

this is because in the sidebar we use special folders, and insertionpoint is returning their id insted of pointed folder id. subfolders are returning correct id instead same as 413126

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
