1. Customize toolbars
2. Change the value of Show to "Icons"

Expected Results: no text under buttons

Actual Results: "Back" under back button, and nothing under forward. See attachment.

Hrm... works OK for a new profile. Now I see, though, that the new profile has the funky, connected buttons, but the old profile has the old buttons that you see in the attachment. Same for Refresh and Stop. Do I have to do something to flush my image cache?
The icons aren't connected in the small icon mode.

large icon mode

Ah, that explains the different images. OK, here it is in large icon mode.
So, do you have better steps to reproduce? Any toolbar-related extensions or userChrome.css customizations?

Heh. Can we forget this whole thing...? I had a style set via Stylish called Fitts's Back Button.
