Spin-off from bug 412682. With the current implementation a newly added tag under Tags (via context menu) will not be added automatically to unfiled bookmarks. It is located under this selected tag only.
STR:
1. Go to Library and select a tag under Tags
2. Create a new Bookmark via organize/context menu

Related to bug 415667, which covers cutting and pasting to a tag.

Not blocking on this bug for final ship. Would take a safe enough patch if one comes through.

Potential dataloss here: if the user does a backup, the bookmark-less tagged URI won't be included. If they then restore, bookmark-less tagged URI is deleted.

Then we should raise it at least to major.

Probably this issue was caused by the renaming of Unfiled to Unsorted Bookmarks during the Firefox 3 development. I cannot reproduce it anymore with a Fx3.0.4pre build. Marking as WFM.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".
In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.
Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
