When I want to export a daily repeating event and then import it, it's not displayed in calendar:
1)Create an event repeating daily (2 occurrences) i.e. starting 11th of February 17:00-18:00 until 12th of February
2)Select the occurrences (clicking them with CTRL button)
3)'Export selected events' to ics file
4)Import it using new profile
Result:
The events are not displayed

You did not export the repeating event. Instead you just exported the two occurrences of the repeating event that were selected. Therefore the import fails because the parent item with the RRULE is missing. See Bug 357399 and Bug 392465 for the same topic.
I have observed a similar problem... not sure if I should start a new bug report.
Sunbird does not export recurring events to CSV. It exports only the first instance of a recurring event.
