STR:
1. Update to Beta 3 from Beta 1 on releasetest channel.
2. Rapidly click through the Preferences pane.
3. Observe attached screenshot.
After I close and open the preferences pane I can't seem to reproduce it, but I can consistently reproduce it right after I update and open the window.

I see this on the en-US build as well, Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b3) Gecko/2008020511 Firefox/3.0b3. This clears up when you close the Preferences window and then reopen it.

If this can be reproduced with en-US build as well, this bug is not l10n one.

Over to preferences though might be better under Firefox prefernces... there is nothing app update does or can do for the preferences ui besides updating it to its latest code.
