Details

Seen using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; @AB_CD@; rv:1.9b3) Gecko/2008020511 Firefox/3.0b3.

Seen on Win Vista as well. Instead of the locale name there is @AB_CD@ in the string. Not sure if this is supposed to be there or something is missing? Filing just in case.
Where does this appear, in which menu, Extra -> About Minefield?
It doesn't sound right. I can't find it on WinXP.
Are other locales affected too, like nl?
Help -> About Minefield is where I saw it.
I don't recall seeing it in any other locales I spot checked. Will this be fixed in Beta 4?
I don't know in which file I can correct this.
As far as I know this is all generated information from the OS and Firefox.
Does anybody know where to look, so I can correct this?
adding axel to the bug, he can take a look when he gets back.
My guess is line endings in firefox-l10n.js confusing the preprocessor.
I will copy the one from en-US over fy-NL and commit to CVS. en-US has Unix (lf), fy-NL has Windows (Cr lf), so you might be right.
We will see if this solves it at the next spin.
Just tested version 3.0b4 on Windows Vista and it seems to work properly there.
Can you please test on your Mac again?
Thanks in advance,
Wim
This appears fixed using the Beta 4 candidate, I now get Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; fy-NL; rv:1.9b4) Gecko/2008030317 Firefox/3.0b4.
