Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. hit ctrl+f to do a quickfind 2. search for gmail or yahoo or penguin 3. see the charecters g y or p Actual Results: display is incorrect Expected Results: display should be correct ( like in previous versions )

Im not able to reproduce a single outcome continuously , but able to simulate a wrong outcome each time. In each case the first alphabet has junk value displayed "below" the alphabet this is new in ff3 b3

I can confirm this behavior with Firefox 3 beta 3. The text field shows strange "residue" of previously typed characters. Just type some text into the field and then delete it. Very often, some garbage 2 pixels high will remain. See the attachment.
