You are asked to delete "All Occurences" or only "This Occurence". Why not a 3rd option such as "All Occurences Following" (to borrow from Google Calendar). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create repeating event, for example "appointment" every monday at 2:00 2. click on event and choose "delete selected event" 3. if you choose "All Occurences", you will wipe out all record of that event in the past as well as the future. 4. if you choose "This Occurence", it will only affect the selected event, however you'll still have the event going on into infinity Actual Results: Cannot delete only future/present events in repeating series Expected Results: We should have a 3rd option to delete only future/present events in a repeating series, so that we can keep a record of past appointments
Solution for your deletion problem: Choose to edit "All Occurrences". From the repeat drop down menu choose "Custom...". Set the recurrence range from infinite to a fixed end date. See existing Bug 320178 for the "All future occurrences" topic.
