It sounds like the typing in place control for text fields is just totally broken.

He also adds:

>While the TIP does appear in the URL address bar, it still doesn't have the web 
>context in either version of Windows, i.e.: the buttons for common web bits 
>like "http:" and ".com"

I have no idea if the web specific type in place buttons are available to use through an API, but it would be great for tablet users if we could support this.
is this a dupe of bug 244119 ?
