I'm not actually sure this isn't a Mac OS X bug, not a Firefox bug, but it seemed to only affect the Firefox window. I'll be reporting it both places. Basically, just as I opened the Google Reader page, I got the visual display problem you can see in the screenshot.
I have seen something similar happen like this before, but this time I wasn't in the middle of doing something so there wasn't an immediate next action already in my motor cortex's output queue to wipe it away. :-)
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
No pattern discovered yet.
Default (new) OS X theme.

Happened again seconds later while I was typing a URL (and getting the suggestions listed below); a region of the window to the right of the url suggestions menu got a triangular region that, again, looked like a stretched out version of some other portion of the window.
Unfortunately it got redrawn before I could get a snapshot of it. Will try to be quicker next time.

This is a mass search for bugs that are in the Firefox General component, are
UNCO, and have not been changed for 800 days and have an unspecified version.
Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10, create a fresh profile,
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you
still see the bug, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the
resolution to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

I haven't seen it for a long time (not least because I use Google Chrome now, but still FF occasionally).
