Seen using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b4pre) Gecko/2008021604 Minefield/3.0b4pre. Also seen on Win XP and Vista.
STR:
1. Go to Places Organizer and select an unfiled bookmark.
2. Select Organize | Move
3. Select "OK."
Actual: Receive Assertion in Screenshot
Expected: Error message of some sort.

I think there shouldn't be an error, I think if you choose move and don't pick a new folder, it should leave the bookmark exactly where it is.

No error is fine by me, but the assertion has to go for sure.

The assertion does not occur for release builds. In that case the error is sent to the console.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".
In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.
Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
