See url (which I wrongfully attached to bug 418445).
You get 2 alert boxes at the same time, where the second one doesn't seem to block any event anymore. You should only get 1 alert box at a time, anyhow.

This isn't a problem on branch, not sure when it regressed on trunk.
I think I vaguely remember something about this happening when bug 337716 was fixed.
