User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-DE; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080207 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: "Open with" should offer my desktop entrys. See Desktop Entry Specification of freedesktop.org. It is not userfriendly that the user must find the location of the executable file. Reproducible: Always
One giant vote from me for this request. The current selector (I'm using Ubuntu 12.10) is useless, I mean it is one step *backwards* from a shell where I can just type e.g. "gimp" and it finds it for me along $PATH. This dialog doesn't find it for me, and I not only have to know the name of the application, I even have to know in which directory the executable resides in. Utterly useless.
Product: Core → Firefox
Severity: normal → S3
