User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Whether through a pop-up which gets past the pop-up blocker or through a deliberately newly spawned window - (such as trying to open a streaming radio window from a radio station) - Firefox crashes entirely. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open a website (I used boortz.com and www.590klbj.com) but i've found it on other sites. 2. click any link which will spawn an entirely new window (NOT a link that will open a new tab) 3. grumble, as you watch vista close down the browser and then go restore your session. Repeat as desired. And then open IE to get to the window you need... Actual Results: Browser crashes entirely. Expected Results: The new window should open and perform normally. Default settings, Vista home premium. Only noticed the problem since the newest version of Firefox 2.0.0.12. Aero Fox 1.0.5 skin (not that this should matter) and IBM Lenovo T61 with thinkvantage software.
Can you also reproduce this in Firefox's safe-mode or with a new profile? This to rule out extension/theme problems or profile corruption. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder

So i guess i just need to reinstall firefox?
it's best to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, and also upgrade extensions. see <https://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report>
