I have a testcase where i can create blocklisted plugins to appear in the browser. However, i notice this does not automatically update the Addons blocklist site. Sounds like this list is updated manually right now, and no dynamic way to pull the list of blocklisted addons from the db.
For a working testcase, see the repro steps in bug 419552.
See screenshot.

As reed points out, your steps to get old versions of Java and Flash blocklisted involve changing the blocklist URL. If you change that (for debugging/testing purposes) without also changing extensions.blocklist.detailsURL, you shouldn't be surprised that clicking "More Information" takes you to an irrelevant page.
I don't think this page needs to be updated automatically. So far, we're not blocklisting many things, and it's nice to be able to explain why each item is blocklisted (which would be difficult if the format were rigid).

valid point. i was using a testcase here. If this isnt going to be a huge blocklist list, we can keep maintaining it by hand for now.
