I liked the Eudora user interface with the possibility to have multiple mailboxes open in tabs.
With Penelope you always open a new window. That's annoying.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. doubleclick on a mailbox (local folder)

Actual Results:  
a new window opens

Expected Results:  
the mailbox is opened in a new tab

I think you might be referring to the request in bug 375993 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375993).  If so, this bug should be marked a duplicate.  Also if so, Arnie, please go and vote for bug 375993.
