If you're wondering, this is derived from a comment in mimei.h.

Perhaps someone might want to preserve those comments somewhere in the source tree?
A brief discussion on #mmgc has led to the conclusion that this is a good candidate to be rewritten using pork. If nothing else, it's a good exercise for trying to convert a C-based object system to C++.

I'll look into this more when my work queue loses some elements.
