Firefox crashs at start. It probably has problems with the extension CacheIt because if I remove this extension manually it works.

OK, it's probably not because of CacheIt.

There is still another problem. I just figured out that my Adblock extension didn't worked correctly anymore (it says it was at the state 'Pending' and asked if I have perhaps some readonly files in my profile).

I thought I try to disable Adblock and enable it again next start. After disabling and quitting, now Firefox crashes again (with same backtrace). I have removed CacheIt already completly.

I am still not sure if one special extension was the reason for my problems or generally FF is a bit unstable in addition with extensions. (Perhaps you just take a look at the backtrace and see if there is a possible bug at this place in the code.)

I comment out now some lines in extensions.ini and then, FF worked again. Then I put the lines back into extensions.ini and it still workes. That is a bit strange to me but I assume some caching mechanism in the extension manager of FF.

I have deleted now some of my extensions which I don't use that often. I will report back if the bug still occurs for me.

This bug was reported using a version of Firefox that security and stability updates are no longer provided for.  All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 3 by selecting 'Check for Updates' in the Help menu or by going to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html

If you can no longer reproduce this bug using the latest Firefox 3.0.x version, please change the status of this bug to 'RESOLVED' 'WORKSFORME'.

Resolving as WORKSFORME.  If the issue reappears in FF 3.5, we will reopen.
