Crash Data
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080213 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080213 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Firefox crashs at start. It probably has problems with the extension CacheIt because if I remove this extension manually it works. See more details, including the backtrace of the crash, here: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212497 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start firefox

OK, it's probably not because of CacheIt. There is still another problem. I just figured out that my Adblock extension didn't worked correctly anymore (it says it was at the state 'Pending' and asked if I have perhaps some readonly files in my profile). I thought I try to disable Adblock and enable it again next start. After disabling and quitting, now Firefox crashes again (with same backtrace). I have removed CacheIt already completly. See backtrace here: http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=145414

I am still not sure if one special extension was the reason for my problems or generally FF is a bit unstable in addition with extensions. (Perhaps you just take a look at the backtrace and see if there is a possible bug at this place in the code.) I comment out now some lines in extensions.ini and then, FF worked again. Then I put the lines back into extensions.ini and it still workes. That is a bit strange to me but I assume some caching mechanism in the extension manager of FF. I have deleted now some of my extensions which I don't use that often. I will report back if the bug still occurs for me.
