Hi!

I found a link on dpreview to new panoramic images of the new Sigma dp1 camera:
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1027&message=27110442
The images are here:
http://www.pbase.com/ghoerdt/dp1
I open all those images one by one, and then I click at the bottom of each picture on the "original" size link. All work perfectly, except this one (called Überlingen Hafen) which crashes firefox 3 beta 3. I tried twice.

Thank you for your attention and your great work! Firefox 3 is great!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to this page: http://www.pbase.com/ghoerdt/image/93960578
2.Click on the link at the bottom right of the picture named "original"
3.
Actual Results:
Firefox 3 beta 3 crashes

Expected Results:
Firefox 3 beta 3 should show me a very large picture.
No problem on Windows XP, latest trunk.
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Crash confirmed with Firefox 3 beta 4 a couple minutes ago.
Confirmed with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008031104 Minefield/3.0b5pre on Debian GNU/Linux lenny.

No crashreporter appears, console shows:
---
The program 'firefox-bin' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 24671 error_code 11 request_code 53 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
---
It also crashes
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12
and even
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050101 Firefox/1.0+

I wonder if that has anything to do with my /etc/security/limits.conf

I don't get the crash with the image mentioned here, bug I do for http://libpng.org/pub/png/img_png/16million.png (with a BadAlloc message)
Looks very similar to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427385 as well.
