User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008031004 Minefield/3.0b5pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008031004 Minefield/3.0b5pre OpenSuSE 10.3, KDE 3.5, FF since 3b3 and current 3b5pre (both repository version and Mozilla build) The Bookmark toolbar, on every Firefox start/restart, seems to add a flexible space arbitrarily somewhere in the bar (usually in the center, or after the Home icon, or after Places) so that all other bookmarks in the bar are shoved to a drop down on the far right end of the bar. Closing and reopening the Bookmarks Toolbar will cause proper display, but this must be done on every FF start. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: Bookmark Toolbar items should be lines up even and consistently across the bar on every start.
I too am having the same problem in version 3 onwards. Currently running 3.5.4 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:220.127.116.11) Gecko/20091016 Firefox/3.5.4 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) To explain it easier, I've made a Jing video posted here. http://screencast.com/t/iQDGPI6lnW Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Customise the toolbar by dragging all items into the main toolbar including the Bookmarks toolbar 2. Turn off the Navigation and Bookmarks Toolbars 3. Add a flexible space either side of the Bookmarks Toolbar. Your bookmarks will now be shown in the main toolbar along with the URL and search boxes 4. Close and reopen Firefox. The bookmarks toolbar will collapse. Repeating step 3 will restore things until Firefox is restarted.
