User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; fr; rv:1.9b4) Gecko/2008030317 Firefox/3.0b4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; fr; rv:1.9b4) Gecko/2008030317 Firefox/3.0b4 The icon of downloaded HTML files changes depending of the Download Manager state. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save an HTML document (via "Save link target as..." or "File/Save") 2. The Download Manager window opens 3. Look at the icon of the downloaded file while it is still downloading (probably a "generic text document" icon) 4. When the download finishes, the donwloaded file icon change (probably an "html document" icon) 5. Search in the Download Searchbar for terms matching the downloaded file. The icon change again (probably the "generic text document" icon) 6. Reset the Download Searchbar field. The icon stays the same (but wrong) 7. Close then reopen the Download Manager. The icon is now correct (html document), and stay consistent when you run a search. Actual Results: The icon changes several times between the wrong icon and the correct one until the Download Maager is closed and reopened, depending fo the state of the Download Manager (downloading, searching, etc.) Expected Results: The downloaded file icon should stay the same (and the correct one) at all states of the Donwload Manager. This may happend for other file (and not only HTML ones), it didn't tested many other file types. It may also be related to bug #414201 — or at least show we still have problems with file types handling under Mac OS X.
Summary: Unconsistent File icon in Donwload Manager → Unconsistent File icon in Download Manager
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
Downloading a .doc Word document shows a folder icon in the Download Manager. XP Pro SP3, FF 3.5
This seems to be fixed in Firefox 52a2. It makes sense, as the download manager has been reworked several times since Firefox 3.0 :)
