The new way to add bookmarks to Firefox, using the star on the location bar, probably has the potential to be the most used method for adding a bookmark. The problem is that it only adds the bookmark on the "Unfiled bookmarks" folder, which is not shown on the Bookmarks menu. It then becomes very hard for the user to find that bookmark again, unless he has a good understanding on the interface and the new Library.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on the star to add a bookmark
2. Consider how an unexperienced user will have trouble finding it again
Expected Results:
The usability of this feature should be reconsidered, specially thinking on the terms of discoverability and learnability. There are lots of better alternatives. My personal suggestion goes on changing the "Unfiled bookmarks" folder name to "Quick bookmarks", or "Starred pages", and adding it as an entry to the Bookmarks menu, along with the "Mozilla Firefox" folder.
Other possible alternative would be to add these bookmarks directly on the bookmarks tree root, thus showing all these bookmarks on the Bookmarks menu.

The folder is called "Unsorted Bookmarks" now, so you can change the name accordingly (see Bug 416225). The bug filed for the wish to make this folder visible in the Bookmarks menu or Bookmarks Toolbar folder, was Bug 405487.
