Using jun12 m17 commercial build Since we now have the ability to go offline, we should have an offline state icon present in the main mail window. Browser already has this in place, located in the status bar. Offline state changes when clicking the icon. The icon also has a tooltip associated with it. When implemented, please let me know if we intend to have this icon present in any other mail locations/windows.

July5 commercial build: This is now present in mail window, but doesn't toggle or reflect the correct state.
reassigning to me I have a fix to get everything working (change state, tooltip, etc.) except that the icon still doesn't reflect the right state upon starting Mail. Furthermore, if you change the state via the icon in mail, it still doesn't change in the browser (and vice versa). I'm working on it. . .

Hmm. I forgot the partial fix I had since I've deleted my tree multiple times since I had it. Back to the ol' drawing board, but yeah, I'll take a second look when I get some time...

Offline icon present in main mail window and standalone msg window. Offline state f=can be changed by clicking icon. Tooltip reflects proper text for state of offline/online. Calling this fixed and verified using nov21 commercial trunk build, Win98, Linux rh6.0 , Mac OS 9.0. Any other outstanding offline ui issues will be logged separately.
