Was browsing the new bugs, and I noticed it was giving me the option to change everything on the bug status pages, component, owner, confirmation status, ect. So I verified a new bug, then made a note of it, and submitted the form, and "poof" returned an error saying I couldn't do that. When I backed up an reloaded the page, all the buttons had vanished. The power had taken flight before I could grasp it. Wierd.
This is on purpose to cater to people that don't use cookies. If you're not logged in, you can see all the options, it'll just yell at you if you try to use one that you don't have access to. Once you're logged in, it knows what you have access to, and will only show you that. (If you have cookies turned off, you'll have to log in every time you submit a form, so it won't know who you are until after you've submitted it - which is also the case if you haven't submitted it).
