currently there is no hover state in close.png

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.hover mouse over close button on tab

Actual Results:  
no visible change

Expected Results:  
hover state should be lighter then focused state

Yes, but since there are currently 192 icon files I don't use bugzilla for tracking changes since it would be hard to get a global view.  Instead we have a spreadsheet that supports faceted browsing developed by MIT's simile team:

I'll be updating this with the most recent set of requested changes soon (like this one), the overall tracking bug for the icon inventory is bug 399398.

Attachment: Close button from an XP notification

I was just working with a default install of XP when I noticed this little bit. This works nicely on XP, and it would make the icon a little more like the vista one, where the glyph only is displayed until hover.

Alex, on your referenced tracking page this icons are targeted on Vista for Namoroka. Is that correct?

We were thinking about switching to a red button on Vista, and even got the hover state created.  But then when I went to generate the file (well passed the cut off for getting new artwork created), I realized that I forgot to request a hit state as well, so we'll get this fixed on trunk after 3.5 goes out the door.

Another bug, we have hover states now, so this bug is resolved as of around this time last year.
