Hildon is a Gnome (GTK) based system, but gnomestrip doesn't always look very good. We can certainly do better to blend into the native theme for the platform.

Indeed. The Hildon look is actually very square. Lots of hard corners, greys and whites. Buttons are often pretty modern, too. Different than the Tango theme in a lot of ways.

we have a theme now, haven't used this bug to track anything -- do we still need it or can we close it out and focus on specific issues?
We currently have no need for a hildon specific theme.
