User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032620 Firefox/3.0b5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032620 Firefox/3.0b5 Try loading the above website and open processes, my memory usage went over the top. I closed the firefox process when it got above 250mb, but i think it might have climbed even higher... I think it has something to do with the adobe flash element.. Firefox also gets a hang-like behavior. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open website
wfm with a current sm trunk, did you try running Firfefox in the Firefox safemode ? - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode
I tried it, but the same memory time-bomb is starting.
check about:plugin - please report, what version flash installed? current version flash available at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9b4pre) Gecko/2008021504
Shockwave Flash File name: NPSWF32.dll Shockwave Flash 9.0 r45 MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/x-shockwave-flash Adobe Flash movie swf Yes application/futuresplash FutureSplash movie spl Yes
I updated to Shockwave Flash File name: NPSWF32.dll Shockwave Flash 9.0 r115 MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/x-shockwave-flash Adobe Flash movie swf Yes application/futuresplash FutureSplash movie spl Yes But same things keeps happening, it even seems to keep loading addvision.nl stuff when i already left the page.
Firefox 3.01 @ site www.miniclip.com on Windows Vista with shockwave flash reaches 400MB memory usage. Hang-like behaviour exists and CPU gets stuck at 100%. Also this causes Firefox to slow down the treminating procedure.
