I haven't been able to access my inbox for over two hours now.  The loading messages at the bottom of the page cycle from 'waiting for mail.google.com' to 'read mail.google.com' to 'loading' to 'stopped'--all in rapid succession, over and over.  I can access my inbox in IE and have had no problems there.  Not sure if this problem is yours or Google's, but thanks for checking this out.

gmail works fine for me
You could try to delete your browser cache and possible gmail cookies.
(Tools/clear private data)

If you still get this problems you could try to laod gmail in the Firefox safemode to be sure that this is not caused by an extension.
