Auto-complete lists are treated as windows (they use the same compositing effects in Ubuntu 7.10).
To reproduce this bug, you should use a system which applies compositing effects when opening a window.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Preferences window in Firefox.
2. Type something in an auto-complete widget anywhere in Firefox.
Actual Results:
Both open with the same compositing effect.
Expected Results:
The second one should not use the same effect, that's how native auto-complete entries behave.
